- [Instructor] Welcome to another AutoCAD tip and trick. We're going to be having a look at the Offset command in a bit more detail in AutoCAD today. So we've got a new drawing for you. It's called Working With OFFSET.dwg, and you can download it from the library as usual to follow along with the tips and tricks video. When you load up the drawing you'll find that you've got a square made up of four separate AutoCAD lines, and we've got a little circle over here that we'll use in a moment. Now the Offset command is on the Home tab on the ribbon. It's in the Modify panel. It's right here. So I'm going to get started straight away and click on the Offset command and come into the drawing area. Now normally, when you run Offset in AutoCAD it asks you for an Offset distance. Now one of the benefits you have with Offset is you don't have to specify distance. You can specify a through point, and you do that by clickin' on the Offset command, come into the drawing area and just right…
