Edge and corner detection

- [Narrator] Since laser scanners provide us with images made up of millions of points, it's not always easy to pick out the edges and the corners from the data. We can use the As-Built Fit Plane feature to help us detect the geometry, locate straight edges, and define corners. Now, let's say we were going to model or locate some of the foundations that you see in this area. So I've gone ahead, and isolated one foundation in the point clouds. So if we want to model that or extract some geometry from this, how would we do it? A number of ways that we can approach this. To get the exact locations and the fittings, the surfaces, we can just use planes, we can fit planes to that, and then use those planes to extract geometry. So I'm going to come to my Modeling panel inside my As-Built Modeler tab on the ribbon menu. I'm going to come across and say fit a plane. So again we can do this a number of ways. We can just do a single click. I'm going to decrease the size. And I am going to pick…
