- [Instructor] Once again, we're staying in our xrefs.dwg file. I've left it in exactly the same state as it was at the end of the last video, where we made that change to the XREF file and added that right-angled corner to the property line. What about, though, if we can edit our XREF files in place, as well, which can be done. Simply select the reference file, which is our dash property, like so, and that'll take us to the external reference tab on the ribbon. Now, we've looked at clipping boundaries, and we've looked at options with the external references pallette. Here's the "edit in place". So I can open the reference file there and go and edit it as a separate .dwg, or I can edit it in place. So click on "Edit Reference In Place". It'll now ask you for which reference you want to edit. There's only one in this drawing, which is the property line. So we click on "OK", and now, basically, it references a previous released drawing file format. What it's letting me know there is…
