- [Instructor] In this particular chapter, we're going to be looking at cleaning up our CAD drawing. Ready to take it across into 3D Studio Max so that we can basically create a 3D shell of this little 2D plan of our two rooms, our door, our window, et cetera. Now, one of the things that you'll notice whenever you're working in AutoCAD is layers are key to your drawing, they're fundamental. So for example, you'll notice that the current layer in the layers panel on the home tab on the ribbon is A-Furniture. So if I hover over this bed block here, you can see that's on A-Furniture. This chair is also on A-Furniture. Now, obviously you're putting things on their individual layers to give them a description, to give them an identity in your particular AutoCAD drawing. Now in this particular case, all of those objects and layers allow us to identify what is in our 2D CAD drawing. Now what happens in 3D Studio Max is it…
