Fit arc
- [Instructor] Another fitting we can use is called the fit arc tool. And this allows us to fit curved lines to a point cloud slice. This is a great tool for tracing things like curbs for road markings, building elevations, anywhere where you need to do a nice, clean digitized curve. And let's take a look at the curbs down here. So I'm just going to rotate my view a little bit, so I can see the edge of the curb here. And I'm going to create a slice. So slice parallel to XY and I'm just going to pick two points on the curb. And if we look at this in plan view, we can see already, that we've got those nice curve shapes that we can trace using the fit curve, or the fit arc shape, is should say. So let's look at our slice thickness, so I'm going to change that down to maybe two inches. And we're going to look at our increments, two inches. So now let's look at that section here, as it would go down through the points, and look for the best view we have of the curbs. So let's stick with…
