- [Instructor] Moving ahead with chapter five we're going to take a look at some fitting tools. So, creating outlines such as foundation location plans, or equipment location plans is fairly straight forward using As-Built. We have a tool called Fit outline plan, and this allows us to fit a line to a point cloud slice effectively tracing the points. It makes it much easier to develop line work without getting lost in the points. So the first thing we want to do when we create Fit outline plan is create slice. So, we're going to come up to our Slice tool. We're going to generate a slice parallel to the XY, and we're going to pick two points on the foundation of one of these piping skids. Now let's look at that in Plan view. Again, it's a little dark so let's just pick a point on the point cloud, and to activate the AutoCAD point cloud menu, and change that to object color.
