- [Narrator] Tracing polygons in the point cloud is simple using the fit polygon tool. As-built analyzes the points that you picks and creates line work based on the average center of the cluster of points you're tracing. And now I've gone ahead and created a slice. Now, this is just a slice through the points and it's just a run of piping but it's a nice complex shape that we can look at different ways of modeling. If you wanted to model this and get an outline of this, how would you do it? What's the best way to do that using the point cloud? So using a number of tools we can go back up to our as-built modeler tab in the ribbon menu and we're going to go back to our modeling. Now there's a number of ways we can do this. We can go ahead and use fit outline plan to trace sections. We can use the combination of fit outline plan and arcs to trace. So for example, if we were tracing this area down here, I'm going to start from here. Do my fit outline plan to get my line work here. And…
