Freezing layers in the current viewport

- [Instructor] So here we are in another one of our AutoCAD tips and tricks. And this time we're looking at layers in the current viewport. Now, right now, I'm not in a viewport. What I am in is the model space in a drawing in AutoCAD 2017 and it's called 3_LAYERSINCURRENTVPORT or viewport .dwg Now, as usual, you can download these to follow along with the video. Now in the model space, I've got a very simple object. If we hover here, you see I've got a polyline with a hatch and it's all dimensioned up. Now it's using annotative dimensions, with a scale of 1:4, down here on the status bar. Now if you haven't used annotative scaling before, what it allows you to do is scale things up to your viewport scale. So model, you're using your annotation scale, and if I jump into the layout tab, the ISO A3 layout tab, you can see there that my viewport, if I click on it, and look at the status bar, is also down there at 1:4. Now, I'm going to hit Escape there to deselect the viewport. Now it…
