- [Instructor] Welcome to another AutoCAD tip and trick. We're going to now look at one of the most underrated and underused commands in AutoCAD, in my personal opinion, which is the QUICKCALC command, the calculator in AutoCAD. Now we've got a drawing for you, which you can download from the library, it's called QuickCalc.dwg, and you can see the rectangle and the three circles inside the rectangle. Download it from the library, use it to follow along with the video if you wish. Now you'll notice I've kind of shunted things across to the left a little bit in the drawing area. You'll see why in a moment. Just before we get into that though I just want to show you quickly how to get into the calculator, and how it works in AutoCAD. You can just type QUICKCALC like that. It'll pop up there on the suggestion menu on the dynamic input, press Enter, and there it is there. Now, just be aware that there's lots of different functionality in QUICKCALC.
