- [Voiceover] We're starting another chapter now in our AutoCAD Facilities Management 102: Space Management course. We're gonna look now at defining our space areas and how we actually define the area, but more importantly the units of measurement and how we utilize those areas when we're actually working with facilities management in AutoCAD. You'll see there that we've got a new drawing open. It's the 00_GND_FM_SPACEAREAS.dwg file. You can find that in your Lynda.com exercise files for download. As per the previous chapters, what we've done is we've referenced in the GA drawing as the facility plan. If you go to the Insert tab on the ribbon, and I'll just click on the little arrow here, there's the external references palette showing the FP, the renamed facility plan drawing. If I hover over that there, you can see that the drawing is 00_GND_GA_SPACEAREAS.dwg We've referenced that into the FM drawing, renamed it as FP purely for our layer management.
