- [Voiceover] We're back in 03_NavigatingDrawings.dwg file, and what we're going to look at now is how we work with the model tab and the layout tabs in our AutoCAD 2017 drawings. Now we do cover layouts and model tab later on in the course as well in a lot more detail. So don't worry. This is an overview. It's telling you what the model tab does, what the layout tabs do, how to set up a new layout tab. So let's have a look at that then. What I'd like you to do is take the crosshair in the model tab over to these double doors here. You'll see them highlight, and just roll up on the wheel of the mouse there for a few moments, and then what you'll find is you can get zoomed in nice and close like that, and you can see that we've got a dimension there of 1830, 1830. That is 1830 millimeters because this is a metric drawing, or 1.83 meters. It's pretty obvious that it's not 1830 inches or feet. Now the reason I'm showing you that dimension is because you draw everything in the model tab…
