Moving from 2D to 3D in AutoCAD
- [Narrator] We're staying in our preparing for 3D.dwg file and I've left it in exactly the same state as it was at the end of the last video where we were checking our setting out point and our distances and making sure our grids were in the right places, et cetera et cetera. Now we're preparing for 3D in this chapter so the next step now is to change our workspace in Autocad. We need to change our workspace to the 3D modeling workspace because we're going to start developing this 2D plan into 3D elements that look like a little prefabricated box with the structural openings, the door, the window et cetera. Now how do we do that? Well there's two ways, you can go down to the status bar down here at the bottom of the screen and you'll use what looks like a little gear wheel almost like a settings kind of idea. And that's workspace switching. If I click on the arrow you'll see that we've got different workspaces available.…
