- [Narrator] Creating an orthoimage from the point cloud gives us the ability to create quick layout type images from the points, which can then be used as backgrounds for modeling or for sharing basic information with others. These images are not generated using CAD lines, but rather a raster image such as a TIFF or a PNG that can be attached as a quick reference, or used as a general overview of the project. So let's look at this area of interest right here. The first thing I'm going to do is rotate my UCS so that I can get a capture, a rectangular capture, of that area. So I'm just going to grab my UCS and I'm going to bring it over to the corner of this walkway, and I'm just going to rotate it around so that it sort of matches up there. Then I jump into my plan view, and I'm going to set this up as the area we're going to take the ortho view from. So to do that, from your As-Built modeler, I'm going to jump into my ortho image.
