Performing object data queries
- [Narrator] Having intelligent source drawings that are laden with object data is an effective way to keep track of non-graphical information, such as install date, or pipe type. Using object data queries allows you to capitalize on this rich data and enables you to ask questions. For example you can now ask, "show me all the pipe older than 80 years", by using an object data query. We're going to do something similar now, but we're going to query in all the rows of a particular name. So under map explorer we're going to attach the drawings, go to attach, we're going to use that exercise files alias, chapter three, number four. We're going to attach the street, and hit OK. And then we're going to double click on current query and we're not going to use location or property or SQL, we're going to use data in this case.
