Placing dimensions
- We're staying in our annotation.dwg file. And we setup in our previous video, the dimensions layer, the dimension style that we're going to use. And also in our annotate tab, we make sure that our dimension layer override was set up to only use the dimensions layer as well. Now we're going to look at placing some dimensions, now. Now you can do this from the home tab, in the annotation panel here. You can see we've got various dimension tools there. However, it's a little bit easier to place dimensions. If you go to the annotate tab on the ribbon. Because you've then got all the tools available to you here, in the dimensions panel. Now the benefit you've got there as well is you've got this little angled arrow. If I click on that, it automatically takes me into the dimension style manager too, which is quite useful.
