Reprojecting AutoCAD data

- [Instructor] To re-project AutoCAD data, the DWG must have a coordinate system assigned already. You then attach that DWG to a new drawing with a destination coordinate system assigned, and then query in from that original source drawing. Let's try that now. We're going to drag hydrology and streets.dwg into our current map explorer. We'll use the exercise files alias for both the streets and the hydrology. You can see at the bottom of the screen, that your current coordinate system is assigned to ETM83-17. To see what the coordinate system of the two attached files are, right-click over drawings, click define/modify drawing set, and then click on the drawing settings. This will show the two drawing files and their assigned coordinates. The streets are WGS84 pseudo mercader and the hydrology is in lat-long 84. Let's hit close and okay. Now let's query in that data, to see it re-project on the fly. So we go query, location all, that's the fastest way to get everything from all…
