- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD today. We're going to be looking at selection methods and some of the selection methods that you might not be aware of or that you might not use in AutoCAD. We've got a new drawing for you, it's called selections methods, surprise, surprise, dot DWG, and what you can do there is obviously, download it from the library and use it to follow along with the tips and tricks video. Now when you're selecting objects in AutoCAD, there's some pretty normal run-of-the-mill ways of selecting objects. I can select, for example, that rectangle by clicking on it. I can select a circle by clicking on it and so on and so forth. I can also use the window selection, so if I click here, release the mouse button, drag, click here, everything inside the window selection gets selected. I can also do a crossing selection, so if I click there and drag from right to left, I get the green crossing selection. Anything that is crossed by the selection…
