Setting a PDF layer
- [Instructor] We're now in another chapter of our course and we're going to be looking now at the PDF capability that AutoCAD has. You'll notice at the top of the screen there we have a new drawing which is ImportPDF.dwg. As usual, you need to download that from the website and use it to follow along with the videos in this particular chapter. Now what we're going to look at first of all is creating a layer for our PDFs to come into our AutoCAD drawing. So you'll need to have a layer, for example, for a PDF attachment or an imported PDF that comes into your AutoCAD drawing. So it's very simple, we can use the Home tab on the ribbon, we go to our Layer Properties manager in the Layers panel, and we create a new layer by clicking on this icon here, and you could just literally call it PDF, like that. But just make sure it's a different color so it stands out (mumbles) one red, or orange, or something similar, so it stands out with everything else in the layer listing, like so. And then…
