Setting the annotation scale

- [Voiceover] We're staying in the 08_Elevations3D_House drawing, as we've done for the rest of the chapter, and what we're going to look at now is setting our annotation scale and making sure that our annotation, in this case perhaps dimensioning, is all set up effectively in the layout tab. Now you'll remember in the previous chapter we discussed annotation scale when we're working with our 3D elevations. We don't actually have 3D dimensioning available to us in AutoCAD. So what we can do is we can dimension in the layout tab and basically our annotation scale will always be one to one. There's no need to worry about annotative dimensioning in this particular case. Obviously there are other methodologies where you could perhaps supply annotative dimensioning. It's entirely up to you. I'm just giving you a method that I use and I have used in industry when using 3D elevations from a 3D model in AutoCAD itself. So let's go back to the Home tab on the ribbon.
