Setting gradient fills
- [Voiceover] We're working in the 00_GND_FM_SETTINGS.dwg file. In the previous video, we looked at setting up our layer naming strategy. What we're gonna do, we're gonna go back to the home tab on the ribbon now, and we're gonna go back to the Layers panel. We're gonna go to the Layer Properties, and we're gonna create another new FM layer. So I'm gonna click on the New Layer icon here in the Layer Properties Manager, and this one's going to be FM and then dash and then room fills, F-I-L-L-S, like so. So FM-ROOMFILLS. Now these are going to be gradient fills that we put into each room to highlight the room and perhaps put it onto a legend so we know what the room use is. So we'll give it a color. Now it doesn't matter what color that layer is because the gradient fill will have its own color anyway. So you might just want to give it something like a white or something like that. There's the FM-ROOMFILLS layer. I'm gonna double click next to it and make it the current drafting layer…
