Setting up a hatch layer

- [Instructor] We're now starting a new chapter in our annotation scaling in AutoCAD drawings course. We're going to be looking at hatches and annotation scaling this time and how we can make sure that our hatches are annotative in our AutoCAD drawings. We've got a new drawing open. It's 05_AnnotativeHatches.dwg and you can download that from the website to follow along with the videos as per usual. Now, what we're going to look at first is making sure we have an appropriate hatch layer set up in AutoCAD. Now, you'll notice the drawing is very, very similar to what we've used previously in previous chapters and we already have a hatch pattern here in our sectional view. You can see it's a hatch on the Layer HATCH but it's a non-annotative hatch. So, what we're going to do is we're going to go to the Home tab on the ribbon, into our Layers panel here and go into the Layer Properties Manager. Now, you can see we've got the HATCH layer there.
