- In this new chapter, we're going to start setting up our layers to make our transition into 3D Studio Max. Now, in order to do that, we need to stop thinking about layers for walls, doors, windows, chairs, doorknobs, handles, et cetera. What we've got to start thinking about now is the objects that we're going to use to extrude our shell of our little building in our scene in 3D Studio Max. So we've got a new drawing for you. It's called 00_Ground Floor_LAYERS, so make sure that you open this file or download this file from the library to open it to follow along with this particular chapter. You will notice that it's in the state where all the layers have been frozen off that we don't need, like we did in the previous chapter. Now, it's really important that you make sure that all of your sort of extraneous information that you don't need is not displayed on your 2D AutoCAD drawing.
