Setting up a new dimension layer

- [Instructor] We're starting another new chapter now where we're going to be annotating our 2D elevation and our plan by way of dimensioning and setting up a dimension style. Now, we've got a new drawing for you. It's 04_Elevation2D_House.dwg and we'll use that all the way through the chapter, step by step. Adding pieces to each part of the drawing as we do each video. Very similar to what we did in the last chapter where we end up with a finished product after we've been through all the videos in the chapter. So, the drawing is 04_Elevation2D_House.dwg. You can see the name of it there at the top of the screen and as usual you can download it from the website to follow along with the videos. Now, the first thing we need when we're dimensioning in AutoCAD is a dimensions layer. Now, we go to the Home tab on the ribbon, go to the Layer panel, go to the Layer Properties. Now, you can see we've got a whole group of layers there and I'm just going to make the manager a little bit bigger,…
