Setting your display units in 3ds Max
- [Instructor] So welcome to 3D Studio Max 2020. As you can see we're now in the main screen of 3D Studio Max, nothing is open. There's no projects open or anything like that, we're simply in an untitled scene in 3D Studio Max at the moment. You can see that up here on the title bar it says Untitled Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2020 Not for Resale. So it's an NFR version. I use the NFR versions to create the videos that you use on the LinkedIn Learning Courses. Now you can see that we've got nothing in there. We haven't imported anything, there's nothing set up at all. It's all default settings. And that's the important bit that you need to be aware of in 3DS Max. Because those default settings can cause you problems later. Now to change your unit settings in 3DS Max you go to Customize up here. So there's the Customize tab, you click on it and on the drop down menu you select Unit Setup like so. Now there's two types of Unit…
