Stylizing raster layers

- [Instructor] Raster images cannot be styled, but raster surfaces can. Raster surfaces can be color-coded based on the elevation slope or aspect. Next you use a pre-canned palette based on the USDS, US Geological Survey color palette. We're going to add the Guelph_East.Dem file to our current Guelph.DWG under 0805 folder. So in our task pane, choose data, connect to data pick on raster image. We'll just call the connection name DEM. We're going to browse to a single file. So hit browse go to CH080805. And pick on the Guelph_East.DEM Click connect. We'll just click add to map and close the data connect window. So you could see the Guelph_East.DEM is several tones of green representing elevation. And you can see in two dimensions a little bit of a how the elevation is affected within this part of Guelph. So let's change this. So it looks a lot better. We can style this layer.
