- [Instructor] Once again we're staying in our 00_Ground Floor.dwg file. And as I mentioned in the previous video, we're going to start freezing off all the layers that we don't need to see in our 2D AutoCAD drawing. That way when we import it across into 3D Studio Max we only see the elements that we need to work with, and that we need to extrude to create those 3D objects in our 3D Studio Max Scene. Now, freezing layers can be a really arduous task, if you've got loads of layers in a complex drawing. I'm going to show you a tool that will make your life 100 times easier. Just before we do that though, go to your layer drop-down and just make sure that the zero layer is your current drafting layer. That way when you freeze any other layer, apart from layer zero, you know it's going to freeze.
