Using DWGs to store blocks

- [Instructor] So we're staying in our Simple Door-36 in.dwg file, and you can see that I've left it in the same state as it was at the end of the last video where we created our standard block. Now we've got two standard blocks here. We've got this one, which is on layer zero. And we've got this one, which we brought in on the block layer. So if you hover over them, the little (mumbles) there tells you the information about the block. Now, one of the benefits you have with AutoCAD blocks, both standard and dynamic, is that you can save them to the drawing you create them in. So basically this Simple Door-36 in.dwg file now has that block stored in the DWG file. So if I save the drawing, it saves that block into the database behind the DWG file; and I can use it over and over again in the drawing. But the benefit I also have now is this particular drawing can become my block library. If I roll back on the wheel a few notches, you can see I've got two blocks there. I'll just pan down a…
