Using the exercise files

- [Instructor] All of the exercise files that are used in this particular course with the videos are available to download from the library. So as we work through the course, I'll be pointing out which particular AutoCAD DWG file or other type of file you may need. So for example, if you look at the screen at the moment, you can see that we have the 00-Ground Floor Plan.dwg file open. I'll point you towards that file at the beginning of each video should it be necessary. Also be aware with the exercise files, they are saved back to an AutoCAD 2013 DWG file format. Now, the reason we've done that is to make sure that all versions of AutoCAD from 2013 upwards can be applied to this course. Sure, we're using the latest version of AutoCAD in this course, which is AutoCAD 2021, but you might not be running that version. So what we've done is we've made sure that all the versions back to AutoCAD 2013 can use the exercise files for this particular course. Some of the commands may be different. The interface may be slightly different on older versions of AutoCAD, but you can be assured that all of the exercise files will open in your version of AutoCAD from 2013 and upwards to the latest version, AutoCAD 2021.
