From the course: AutoCAD 2018 Essential Training
Welcome
- Hi, I'm Shaun Bryant. Autodesk's AutoCAD is one of the most well-known CAD applications in the world, used by many different disciplines to create many diverse 2D and 3D designs. This course provides everything you need to know to create precise 2D and 3D drawings and provides AutoCAD beginners with the skills required to use AutoCAD effectively in any industry, architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or product design. We'll review the user interface and lead you step by step through all of AutoCAD's tools, menus, and features. We'll cover how to create and modify geometry, layers, blocks, dimensions, and layouts. We'll also go over how to draw more accurately with AutoCAD snapping and coordinate model and add text and annotations that help others understand your designs. Even experienced AutoCAD pros will find something new to learn. This course provides the necessary knowledge for any learner from beginner upwards, to become a competent AutoCAD user. And working with the native AutoCAD DWG file type will take the learner from the basics all the way up to being able to define individual page setups and print and plot their designs in both hard copy and globally recognized electronic formats such as PDF and DWF. And with all of that out of the way, (chuckles) let's go and learn AutoCAD.
