- [Instructor] Welcome once again to another tip and trick in my AutoCAD Tips and Tricks series. And what we're going to have a look at now in AutoCAD is a thing called the layer states manager. What it allows you to do is work with your layers in different states to highlight different parts of your AutoCAD drawing. Talking of drawing, we've got a drawing that you can download from the library to follow along with the video. It's called gear wheel got dwg. You can see the name of it at the top of the screen. It's a very simple elevation sort of side view of a gear wheel, and you can see there, there's obviously some hidden detail with the blue dash lines there. What we're going to do is we're gonna go to our layers panel on the home tab on the ribbon, click on the fly out here, and just pin it open like so. And you'll notice at the moment that we have an unsaved layer state. Now there's lots of different icons available to you in the layers panel. If you look at these here, you can…
