- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick that you can use in AutoCAD. We're going to have a look at some of the new AutoCAD 2018.1 update features. Now, one of these is your Xrefs and your layer overrides and things that you can use within AutoCAD. Now, bear in mind, you must be using AutoCAD 2018 with the .1 update installed for this particular tip and trick to work. Now, I've got a drawing open at the moment, it's called Host Drawing.dwg. As usual you can download that from the website to use with this particular tip and trick. Now, you'll also notice I've got another drawing open as well here. If I click on XREF Drawing, that's the actual Xref that I'm referencing into the Host Drawing here. So, we've got two drawings open, Host Drawing, XREF Drawing. I've tried to keep them as simple as possible so the XREF is referenced into the Host Drawing, so if I went to the Insert tab for example, and clicked on the little arrow there on the reference panel, there's my XREF Drawing…
