The new AutoCAD 2019 interface

- [Instructor] If you're using AutoCAD 2019 to actually follow along with this course, you'll notice that there have been some interface changes. You'll notice the icons are very different in AutoCAD 2019, they're a little bit more defined and a little bit more colorful. You'll also notice that some of them are different to older versions of AutoCAD, such as in the home tab, in the modify panel, the offset command looks different now. The icon is a different shape. And the reason Autodesk have done this is to hook up with HD monitors and 4K monitors to provide support for that level of quality on those monitors, so as you move across the tabs on the ribbon, you'll see that the icons have changed, but not changed if you get my drift. They're a bit more colorful, they stand out more on your screen, but they're still the familiar icons that you're used to in AutoCAD. One of the new things in the interface in AutoCAD 2019 is the new collaborate tab, which is right here. And that gives us the shared views command and also the DWG compare command. We'll be looking at DWG compare later on in this course to see how useful it is when you're working with annotation and scaling in your AutoCAD drawings. So as you can see there, there's some really nice interface enhancements in AutoCAD 2019 if you're using that to follow along with this particular course.
