The new AutoCAD 2020 interface

- [Instructor] In this particular course we'll be using the latest version of AutoCAD which is AutoCAD 2020. The interface for AutoCAD 2020 is subtly different to older versions of AutoCAD. Even though you might be using an older version of AutoCAD to follow along with the course. So you'll notice that there is this dark kind of background going on in AutoCAD 2020. It's like a blue-y-gray-black kind of color. And you'll notice that some of the icons in the ribbon and some of the graphics in the ribbon are subtly different to older versions of AutoCAD as well. So if I just jump across the tabs in the ribbon, you'll see that the icons are colorful and more defined and Auto desk have updated the icons to sit nicely on that black-blue-gray background. You'll notice how the quick access toll bar icons stand out quite well now as well. Now all of this has changed the interface, but it hasn't changed the functionality of AutoCAD whatsoever. These icons may look slightly different, but they still have the same function. So for example the offset command may look different now to some of the older offset icons, for example. Doesn't matter, it still performs the same command and the same functionality within AutoCAD. So don't worry if your interface in AutoCAD does look slightly different to the interface you see in the videos. That's because we're using the latest version of AutoCAD which is AutoCAD 2020. You can still use your older versions of AutoCAD to follow along with this particular course.
