- In BIM 360 Glue the very first thing you need to do before you do anything else is set up a project. You need to have a project set up before you can start gluing models from other Autodesk applications. So what does having the project do for us? Well, the first thing, it gives you a space for glued models. Glued models is really just another term for exported models from either Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD. These glued models are then collected in the project. Then you have an opportunity to combine them, or merge them, into one merged model. In that merged model, of course, you can perform clash detection, set up views, cut sections, and take notes. It allows you to invite and manage team members and the member's administrative rights. There are certain levels certain members are going to have in terms of what they can do in a model or what they cannot do. It allows you to view project status.
