(cheerful music) - [Instructor] Robotic Process Automation, or RPA. Ever heard of it before? Of course you might be familiar with it. And why not? You can see RPA in almost every industry. It's growing fast in terms of sales. But another aspect of RPA is taking the industry by storm: cognitive automation. Organizations implementing RPA will be deploying it with cognitive capabilities too. What does the term cognitive mean to you? Well cognitive means to know or to recognize. It is a thought process of learning, understanding, and solving and decision-making. Then what's cognitive automation? Global consulting form Deloitte defines cognitive automation as a subset of artificial intelligence, or AI technologies that mimic human behavior. Technology giant IBM adds to this definition, and describes cognitive automation as different from AI in how it is used. In an AI system, the system tells users which course of action to take.
