Introduction to RPA

- [Narrator] Welcome to this video on Robotic Process Automation or RPA. In this video, we will discuss the purpose of RPA, the features of RPA, and how RPA is revolutionizing the business processes. So let's begin. Today, there are integrated applications for everything hosted on the cloud and employees need inputs from these to deliver business processes or solutions. However, employees may not have access to these applications and find it difficult to integrate and migrate data between the applications. As a result, employees end up spending a lot of time doing simple and repetitive tasks instead of focusing on important tasks that add value to the business processes. If these repetitive tasks are automated, employees are more likely to focus on important tasks. Software robots, specifically Robotic Process Automation, RPA, allows employees to add more value to their work, improves efficiency, streamlines processes, and improves Key Performance Indicators or KPIs across the board. Let's further explore the benefits of RPA. Using RPA or repetitive tasks results in engaging employees to focus on higher, value-added activities, and hence, improving results, reduced wage costs, reduced risks as RPA projects are noninvasive and do not disturb existing systems, faster services, improved data quality due to reduction in manual errors, and increased scope for data collection. Besides, human access to sensitive data can be minimized due to RPA which reduces the probability of fraud and compliance issues. RPA ensures 100% accuracy and faster turnaround time which ultimately leads to better customer experience and increased revenue. Automation is becoming an increasingly popular concept. More and more industries and sectors like financial services, telecom and healthcare are adopting it. It is a good time to automate processes in your workplace. Let us see how RPA is revolutionizing business processes. Firstly, automation lowers labor expenses and enables employees to focus more on higher-value work. Secondly, research proves that implementing automation significantly improves productivity and profits in the organization. Finally, automation also almost completely reduces errors. As a result, automation is likely to be implemented in your organization sooner rather than later. You may choose to adopt automation directly or use it a balanced and gradual manner. (soft music)
