The Bot Framework is a set of SDKs, Software Development Kits available on multiple languages, such as .net, JavaScript, and Python for building Bots. It was first introduced in 2016 and it is already on v4, and it's actually open source, which means that you can fully customize the code for the specific needs of your company. It's also secure, requiring HTTPS for communication, in compliant following several standards, such as PCI, DSS, ISO 27 001 and GDPR. But the best part of the Bot Framework is that you can develop once and deploy it in several channels, including social networks, websites, jet services, such as Skype, Slack and Teams and much more. All these connections are managed by the Bot connector service, which abstracts most of peculiarities of each channel for you considerably decreasing the code needed for the Bots.
