Connect Visual Studio to Azure DevOps
- [Instructor] In Visual Studio, we can see our Azure services here in the Server Explorer. Currently, the status shows that we're not connected to our subscription. Later in the course, I'll use Server Explorer with Azure Pipelines. Over in the Team Explorer, we can see our DevOps services. Team Explorer is important in the chapters on Azure Repos and Azure Boards. There are three options available here. At the top, I can connect to GitHub. If you don't see this option, it's not important for this course. It's on my copy of Visual Studio because I installed the Visual Studio GitHub extension. At the bottom is a list of the local Git repositories. In the middle is the connection for Azure DevOps. It's empty now because we're not connected yet. We need to connect Visual Studio to our Azure subscriptions. In my case, I've used the same email address to sign in for Azure services and Azure DevOps. That means I need to sign in here.
