- [Instructor] Azure Boards is the hub for managing software project with tools for planning, work assignment and reports. Use Azure boards to track work with Kanban boards, backlogs, team dashboards and reports. If you have a multi-team organization work can be tracked across teams. All work in Azure boards is tracked through an artifact called a Work item. Work items are where you and your team describe the details of what work should happen in a software project. When you create a work item, you specifies details about that work. DevOps is data-driven, that data is stored in data fields. To build a flexible system that works for a diverse software teams, boards needs to understand what your team needs to track. What is tracked depends on what process methodology is used.
