- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to be looking at how you can secure access to your Azure resources using what's known as role-based access control. Being able to control who has access to your Azure subscription and the resources it contains is an essential part of how you manage your digital estate. In Azure the primary method for access control is what's known as role-based access control but what is it and how does it work? Well with role-based access control, what we're looking to achieve is a minimum access model. That is we want to give users the minimum amount of access required to perform their job. Now, while we can assign roles to certain users in our organization we can also assign roles to active directory groups, service principles or managed identities.
