- Now it's time to focus our attention on non-relational data and their specific structures. In the previous videos, we have seen how relational databases are a great platform for storing and retrieving data that is well understood, containing fields in a structure that you cannot find in advance. However, there are situations where this dependency on a tight defined schema might not be the best option. For example, you might not know in advance this structure of your data. That's common that ingestion pipelines where the data is coming from a wide variety of resources such as databases, mobile phones, social networks, and IoT devices.
