Creating a portfolio

- [Instructor] So 360 Ops. This is a web based facility management application that let's you create work orders, modify those work orders, and close out those work orders. The reason I'm getting involved is because of the BIM aspect. You see, in the BIM 360 Ops you populate the assets of your building from Revit. Yes, that's right, Revit. Since we can't do anything without a portfolio, that's the first thing we're going to need to do. A portfolio is basically a collection of your facilities. Within your portfolio you can have one building or many. In this video we're going to set up a portfolio and get into Ops. To get started, open up web browser. I'm using Chrome, but I think you can use pretty much anything. Go to bim360ops.autodesk.com and you'll land at the splash page with this guy. Now there's two different ways to sign in. If you sign in down here, it's a little bit different, you're going to sign in as an occupant. I don't want to sign in down here. If we sign in up here, that means you own 360 Ops. Let's click Sign In. It's going to force you to enter your work email. If yo don't have one, you'll be redirected to basically buy Ops. (keyboard keys clicking) Type me in. I'm going to go to Next and what's going to happen is they're going to send you an authentication code to your phone. Type it in. I'll say remember me. And you can update your phone number or have 'em resend it if you screwed it up like I usually do. So I'm just going to click done. Now I'm into Ops. Your screen is going to look blank, because you don't have any portfolios set up yet. Over here on the left hand side there's these two little hash marks. Took me a while find this. Go ahead and click that. Now I'm going to go down to switch portfolios. Now I'm going to add a portfolio. My portfolio name will be LinkedIn Building. What happens here is we get a brand new URL. Click Done. Now you're going to land into this. Let's click add building. For the Building Name I'll call it Headquarters. For the building prefix I want to type in HQ so I'll click on the little edit button. Now what's going to happen is when we start exporting from Revit or other programs it's going to prefix it with this HQ. For the street I'll just put in some fictitious street. One, two, three, four, five My Street. City, I'm in Syracuse. The great state of New York. Now we can either show this building to occupants or hide it. Doesn't make sense to hide it so I want to show it to occupants and we'll see what occupants are in a little bit. Now we can add a photo, so click on Add Photo. I'm just going to browse out to where I'm keeping my stuff. I'm grabbing LinkedIn. I'm going to click Open. Ooh that looks good. We're done, let's click Submit. I know the address is kind of fake. If I just close out of here. I'm going to type in my actual work address. I'm going to type in a real address. I'm going to hit submit. Now what we'll see is we have Headquarters, we have Details. If you want to back out of this dialog, we're just going to click on this button right here. Now this brings us out to our main Headquarters profile. So that's how it works. It's not too difficult.
