Cell editing in the Editor tab
- I'm gonna cover the basics of the Editor tab down here at the bottom. Let's get started. We're gonna start with a brand-new kit made from scratch. Let's drag a kick drum over from the sidebar. Let's find a good one. (soft drum beats) Let's use this one. (fast drum beats) All right. Now we have a kick loaded into Cell 1. Here's the cool thing about the Editor page: this is where you can stack multiple samples into one cell to sculpt bigger sounds. Let me show you how to do that here. Let's pick a second sound to layer with this kick. (various percussive sounds) Let's use that one. What we're gonna do this time is drag this right into the Editor. Now when I hit this key, both sounds will play simultaneously. (kick drum and cymbal) See how that works? That's just the beginning, though. You can do so many more things with the Editor page. Let's take a closer look. First, let's turn the trigger button on here. This lets you preview the layer when you click on it. (kick drum and cymbal)…
