Using the exercise files

- [Instructor] If you have access to the exercise files to put them back together after you've unzipped them select all of the different cameras and then put them in exercise files, Maya, Images folder. When you open up your set by script to reconnect our footage we'll just need to go up to the Shot menu, go down to Change shot images. And when this box pops up just choose Other, don't do anything special, and press Okay. Then we'll locate our footage. And click Open. When the next box pops open, just press Okay. In Maya, to reconnect everything let's go up to Windows, General editors, and come down to File path editor. Once the File path editor window pops up just select all of the disconnected footage and then click on Repath files. Just enter in the new path which will be users and then your computer and click on Repath. Now once everything's connected you can just click out of this window. In Maya, if you don't see the Arnold's renderer in any of your options you may need to turn the plug in back on. To do that, just go up to the Windows menu, go down to Settings and Preferences and then to Plug In Manager. And then go down the list until you find the solid angle plug in. And then just click on Loaded. Once you do that, the Arnold plug in will be loaded back up into Maya. To reconnect our footage in Fusion we're going to set up the global settings so that every time you open up a script everything will reconnect. So to do that, let's select one of the nodes and copy the beginning of the file path which is user slash lynda. Then we're going to go up to Fusion, Preferences. And under the Global and Default settings let's go down to Path Map. And what we're going to do is add a new path. And we want to paste in from, which is users lynda. And to, which would be your computer path. And click Save. Now once you do that if you have your exercise files on the desktop everything will reconnect. Let's close out this comp. And then reopen it. And now everything will be connected.
