- [Instructor] Now, the reason we want to concern ourselves with lighting and the background image for reflections before we do the materials is because it affects how the materials look. The quality of the lighting, the color, reflections, all make a difference into how the materials look to us. So, we want to get those if not in the final state, pretty close, before we begin finalizing our materials. So, that's why at this stage of the game, we should go ahead and add an image for reflection. So, to do that, let's come over here to the world panel and open this up and just like we were using nodes here for our materials, we can also use nodes for our world background. So, I'll click here and use nodes and you can see here we have a node called background and a color. So, for the background, we need a color or an image here instead of a color, an environment texture. So, let's click this. And now, let's click open to find our image.
