- Now I'd like to go through the process of creating some simple textures for this so we can then talk about the relationship between textures and materials. To texture this in Krita, we need to export a UV map so let's go back to the UV editing screen layout here. And if I come over here and hit the A key, I can go to UV and Export UV Layout. And let's go to our Textures folder. I've got the format as a PNG and the size at 1024. That should be fine. I'll change the name here to Dumpster UVs. There we go and let's go take a took at Krita. Her ein Krita, I'll go ahead and open up that file. Here we are Dumpster UVs. I'll open that up and here we go. I'll change the name in the layer so we know what it is.
