Configuring user preferences

- Now before moving forward further I want to tweak some default blender options. That is the blender software comes set up with some default user preferences and in many cases these default preferences work absolutely fine. But to optimize our workflow for modelling interior game environments, I do want to change some of the default settings. Now we can do this by the user preferences dialog. One way to access that dialog is to move your mouse over here to the far menu and choose File, and then select User Preferences. You can also get there with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Alt-U, but I'm going to access this dialog through neither of those ways. In fact, I'm going to come out of the menu completely. Another way you can access the user preferences, is by moving your mouse cursor down here to the bottom left hand side of the 3D view, you can see we have the 3D view icon here.
