Creating a pipe prop
- [Voiceover] So I've now created a fully modeled and refined environment that I'm happy with here, and what I want to do in this movie is to add a prop object to the environment. Now there are many different types of props that we could have chosen, for example if you take a look at the reference image, you can see that we've got a chair object here. Now I'm not going to be using a chair object, instead I want to make use of this back wall of the environment. In particularly I'm going to have some piping running across this wall, so it's going to reach up from the ground here, at some point around here on the wall it's going to make a turn and run into the wall at this point here. Now there are many different ways that we could create such a prop, for example I could create a basic cylinder primitive and then use polygon modeling techniques to kind of bend that primitive into shape. Another method that I'm going to use here however, is spline modeling. That is, I'm going to create…
