Exporting a UV layout to Photoshop

- Now let's work on texturing this Eames chair. What I'd like to do for this is to export the UV layout out of Blender and into Photoshop, and then lay wood grain texture over each of these panels here. To do that, let's go into the UV editing screen layout, and I'll frame up that Eames chair. And if we go into edit mode here, we can see our UV map. What I need to do is just select the pieces that I want to export in the UV map. So I use the L key and hover over just the parts that I want. These are, of course, just the pieces that we've already UV mapped. We don't need the UVs of the other parts. So now that I have those selected, I'm going to go over here to the UVs menu and choose Export Layout. Now, I'm going to scroll down here and change the size from 1024 to 2048, (typing) and I will export it out to our Textures folder, and I'll call this EamesChair.UVs and export. And now let's go into Photoshop to open that up. I'll go to File and Open, and let's find our UVs. Here they are.…
