Overview of animation

- [Instructor] Animation is a process of bringing life to your 3D objects. What was once the static object can now come alive through the principles of animation. These principles have been used by generations and were handed down to us by the great Disney masters, Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in their seminal book, "The Illusion of Life." If you've never read it I highly recommend you take a look at it. It's an incredible read that gives you both a glimpse into the history of Disney animation and into the fundamental way that animation works. Studying both real life and other animation will aid you in the process of becoming a great animator. Over the course of this chapter we're going to break down animation into three major steps.
